On the 19th September I went to London Fashion Week at Somerset house. I love attending Fashion events and this was so last minute I didn’t really get time to get an outfit together so I woke up bright and early and began viewing my options. My mum had this beautiful red vintage coat probably from when she was my age but it still looked brand new! I decided that would be my statement piece and I think monochrome really makes red pop so thats what I went with. I even managed to match one of my nails to my dress haha and then just finished off with some nice chunky jewellery.
I arrived at 11am and was supposed to watch the PPQ runway show however they cancelled it which was annoying 😦 they gave me tickets to a “Trends Show” instead which was pretty good so I was back in good spirits. As it was the end of fashion week they put together a show of the most popular trends, Pretty In Pink, Back to Nature, Victorian and Mixing Prints. My favourite was the brown ombre textured jumpsuit, I want it!!

While watching the show, you could charge your phone under your seat! I love how they took all the bloggers and journalists into consideration, they even had phone charging stations all over the event which was sponsored by Vodafone.

Somerset house had been transformed into a 2 storey shoppers paradise, labels such as Vivienne Westwood, Gucci and Prada were available at up to 50% off and they had some beautiful boutiques. The jewellery was stunning and I loved some of the hat and accessory boutiques. Of course I had the best time in the shoe and bag department, I was lucky enough to bump into Mo Helmi while I was admiring his sparkly creations. He recently opened a concession in Dubai Mall’s Shoe District and he really has some amazing pieces.

I then headed for a haircut at the Toni ‘N’ Guy pop up salon for a cut and blowdry, I was really happy with it and amazed at how well they had created a salon in one of the rooms, it looked permanent (always a sign of a successful pop-up venture).

I got lots of goodies which you can read about in the beauty section so I’ll finish with my highlight which was the talk by a few members of the Elle Team, it was inspiring and uplifting and they were so young and had already worked at all the biggest fashion magazines such as Vogue and Harpers Bazaar! I got involved in the Q&A session and got to the bottom of a few things, mapping out my next route in life as I write lol. I absolutely loved Antonia O’Briens satin get-up, she was at the top of my best dressed list, it was unusual and simple and classy which are 3 ingredients for a great outfit.

I finished with a divine massage and chocolate bars in the Kinder Bueno lounge, definitely another highlight!

It was a great day out filled with things I love, you can read reviews of my new Maybelline makeup, Label M hair products and Beauty in treats on the beauty page!
