I am one of those naughty people who regularly skips breakfast but how could I resist the opportunity to sample fumes new breakfast menu!? I went to the branch in Pier 7 which overlooks the stunning Marina. I absolutely love the decor in there, it’s simple with a quirky retro twist. I particularly loved the light feature made from recycled wine bottles!
The breakfast menu is great, there is an array of hot breakfasts and you can also opt for something lighter such as muesli with yoghurt and fruit and various different bakery items. I went for the salmon with eggs and eggs which is scrambled eggs on toast with salmon topped with caviar. It also had an avocado spread on the toast which was delicious, I would definitely order it again.
I also had a taste of the shakshouka which is eggs baked in a tomato sauce served with toast. I found the tomato sauce to be a little overwhelming but it is a traditional Arabic breakfast dish and an acquired taste that many would probably enjoy.
We wanted a sweet ending so we had waffles with berries and chantilly cream, they were deliciously fluffy and the dish had the perfect balance of sweet and sour.
I will certainly be back at fume to satisfy my breakfast cravings, the ambience is great, the servers are friendly and attentive and the food is yummy!
