Kat Von D Ultra Ink Eyeliner in stores now!

Today is an exciting day as Kat Von Ds Ultra Ink Eyeliner launches at Sephora Middle East! The new and improved product is totally vegan and the tip and formula have been improved.

I wear liquid liner almost every day so for me to find a formula that I love is amazing! I particularly like that if I want to do my eyeliner after applying eyeshadow it just glides on with no fuss!

Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette

Tarte tartelette palette

This sleek tartelette palette has become a daily staple for me. The natural hues are perfect for daytime wear and the matte finish is great for setting those lids in the humidity. The tartelette palette contains 12 full size shadows in all matte shades.

The skin-perfecting Amazonian clay-infused formula naturally balances and nourishes skin on the lids, while keeping oil at bay so the powerful pigment won’t budge, back down or fade – just like a tartelette! Sleek, lightweight palette features a chic tarte signature and portable design for on-the-go glamour anytime, anywhere.

The nourishing clay hydrates skin naturally to restore moisture, removes surface oil to mattify skin, and improves the appearance of skin clarity and skin texture. For better, longer, truer wear. My only gripe is that the matte texture makes it harder to blend however its worth the effort!

Try Tarte’s Amazonian Clay range of makeup to achieve and maintain healthy-looking and natural skin available at Sephora!

Medina Candle Massage, Tips and Toes

I tried the new Medina Candle Massage available at the Al Barsha brsnch of Tips & Toes. I have only ever been to their smaller branches and was surprised that they have such a huge one in Barsha which includes a nail studio, hair and waxing salon as well as a spa!

The spa was beautiful, it was candle lit and had a lovely relaxation area for before and after treatments. The therapist came to explain what the treatment entails and find out what pressure massage I wanted.

The candle was lit which would be used for the treatment. It was made with shea butter and oudh and smelt delicious. As the candle burned the butter melted which she poured and massaged into my skin. It was not hot like a normal candle, just warm and the oudh aroma was beautiful.

The massage was really relaxing and included the back, legs and feet and the cost is 266 AED including tax. I would definitely recommend it and would go back, it was a really luxurious treatment and I felt like a goddess being bathed in oudh oil 😜

This serene new treatment aims to relax the mind & body with the use of warm candle oils for the ultimate aromatherapy experience and is available only at the Barsha branch of Tips & Toes.

Summer Skincare Essentials

The change of season really brings a change in my skin and therefore I switch up my skincare regime for the Summer to aspire to get that perfect Summer Glow and I wanted to share my Summer Skincare Essentials with you!

My skin gets more oilier and also more dehydrated – yes, that is possible! Don’t think that because your skin is oily it has enough water, in fact when your skin is dehydrated, often you will produce MORE oil to compensate for the dryness so essential number 1 is a good moisturiser!

Dr Jart + Water Fuse Moisturiser

Dr Jart + Water Fuse Moisturiser

I am a huge fan of Gel Moisturisers as I have quite oily skin, they are light and absorb well into my skin while letting it breathe. Dr Jart’s Water Fuse line is amazing for quenching the thirst of your skin. Here is a video on how Dr Jart’s Water Fuse line works:

I do love this product but I found Sephora’s Instant Water Moisture Gel to be a great dupe. GLAMGLOW’s Hydrated Water Burst Moisturiser is another good option. The innovative sea blue formula bursts into thirst quenching water droplets upon contact before fully absorbing into the skin for a glow you can see and feelI would not get through the Summer without one of these moisturisers!

Clinique Pep Start

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream

I am on my 3rd Tube of this hydrating goodness. The skin around your eyes is the most sensitive, its thinner and therefore ages first and shows the first signs of dehydration and aging. A little massage of this product every morning will have your undereyes looking fresh!

Basking and Masking

GLAMGLOW Gravity Mud Mask

I believe in Basking and Masking! If your gonna sunbathe, make sure you get that extra hydration in. I also love a good exfoliating mask before I sunbathe to keep the tan on my face nice and even. I love Sephora’s range of masks, the eye and lip ones are great for packing in that extra hydration where it is most needed. I use these while doing an all over face mask, my favourite this summer is GLAMGLOW’s Gravity Mud which is a Silver Peel Off Mask. It gets rid of all my extra oil while removing all my dead skin cells so the surface of my skin is nice and smooth. I find it very gentle and use it twice a week.

Hand Cream

L'occitane Amande Hand Cream

Keep those hands nice and soft with a super moisturising hand cream or balm. I love  L’occitane’s almond range, I travel with all of it! The Oil is so versatile and the hand balm is super nourishing and smells divine! Sephoras Almond hand balm is also super nourishing for a smaller budger.

Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette

20180330_122827-01196872040.jpegSince getting my hands on this Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette I have been obsessed with it. I love the colour selection and combination of matte and metallic eye shadows! The metallics are super sparkly as they have actually been infused with real gold! Not only that but they smell delicious as they are made with cocoa powder and smell good enough to eat.

I love pairing the metallics with the mattes, I recently took this palette on holiday for two weeks and was able to create a range of day and night looks, I have featured a look I created when attending a wedding above. There are great neutral shades and also a few colours and smoky shades. There are some great transition colours too. My tip would be to spray your brush with a little fixing spray and dab on the metallic for a super shiny finish.

Too faced eyeshadows are highly pigmented and blend beautifully, this is my favourite palette of this year!

The palette is available in Sephora Middle East!

Max Factor Eye Makeup

Zohra Bandali Makeup

After using the Voxbox

maxfactor rose nudes swatch

Rose Nudes palette swatches

I received a Vox box from Max Factor, it contained An Eyebrow Shaper a Waterproof Eyeliner, two Eyeshadow Palettes and a Brow Contouring Kit.

Unfortunately the Brow Contouring Kit was damaged when it arrived, I used the brown shades which were still intact and if you give the powder a few seconds to set, it does not rub off easily or smudge and is good to fill in gaps. The brow shaper retractable pencil was my favourite item and I have been using it daily! It has a waxy texture and really allows you to define your brows and the strokes look like real hairs. Since I started using it, many people have asked me if I had my brows micro-bladed, as they are so well defined. This is the best eyebrow product I have ever used! It just goes to show that drugstore products can be better!

The eyeshadow palettes have a lovely range of colours however they are not very pigmented. They blend beautifully and are nice for daytime but for a more dramatic look, you need to spend time to build the shadow.

The Liquid Liner is also one of my favourite products. I already had one and was happy to receive a second as mine has almost finished. The consistency is just right, it is not too watery, nor too thick and has a precise applicator for drawing. The only weird thing is when you want to remove it, it peels off in bits but you get used to it.

I have already added the brow shaper and liquid liner to my makeup bag and highly recommend them!

Rituals Karma Collection

2017_01_05_015201smallI had a fantastic time at the launch of Rituals new core summer collection: The Ritual of Karma. The launch perfectly captured the essence of the product which immerses you in the positive vibes of summer. The Rituals Karma Collection body products combine the sweet, floral aroma of holy lotus with the nourishing power of organic white tea, evoking a special, summery feeling. The sun care products contain a powerful natural anti-oxidant complex based on organic white tea, natural vitamin E and ginkgo biloba.

Get your skin summer ready by using the Shower Scrub, an ideal 2-in-1 shower product that both exfoliates and cleanses the skin. Follow with the Foaming Shower Gel, which soothes and nourishes the skin and contains a delicate, sweet fragrance. Sun protection is a must whenever you venture into the sunshine so use the Sun Protection Face Cream SPF 30 or 50 to protect yourself from harmful UVA and UVB rays that cause premature aging of the skin.

The Sun Protection Body Oil – SPF 30 is a non-sticky oil with a tan booster that ensures fast tanning and it contains natural oils that nourish the skin as well. I always get really dry hair in summer so my favourite product in Rituals Karma Collection is the Sun Protection Hair Spray, which gives your hair a long-lasting shine and protects it from discoloration.

After moisturising with the After Sun Lotion, have a spritz of the Bed & Body mist that has you smelling fresh while creating a calming atmosphere with the spa-like scent. We all know Dubai’s sun can be a bit too hot in the summer so you can get that golden glow by using the Self Tanning Body Lotion which has a heavenly, fresh summer scent.

Visit the Rituals store at Burjuman or MOE to pick up your Rituals Karma Collection products!

Glam Glow Glowstarter

Glam Glow Glowstarter

I have been a fan of Glam Glow since its launch in 2011 and started using their incredible face-masks then. Over the last few years Glam Glow has become one of my favourite skincare brands. The products are beautifully packaged and they smell divine!

I have been using Glam Glow’s Glowstarter for 6 weeks now. I have all 3 shades; sun-glow, nude-glow and pearl-glow. I can wear all of them because they blend and leave a luminescence and I like mixing pearl-glow with my foundation. I have been using Glam-Glow daily and I love the effect. Its an illuminating moisturiser so I have replaced my daily moisturiser with it and it was great on holiday as it just leaves your skin glowing and I felt like it set my tan on fire, it just enhanced it perfectly that I could go bare-faced on good skin days. It doesn’t really give coverage so you would wear your foundation with it or mix it into your foundation.

It contains hyaluronic acid, plus vitamins and green tea for energized and moisturized skin. Added illuminating pearl particles help make you look instantly more radiant, blurring and reflecting light, so that all lighting is goodlighting. I love mixing it with my foundation as it gives you that flawless look.

Skin-moisture balance is restored by a combination of emollients including jojoba oil, shea butter and ceramides. A special skin-conditioning lipid complex is designed to help infuse skin with optimal hydration for a luminous finish. I do love the moisturiser however I stopped using it when I had a break out for a few days as the last thing you want is to add dimension to your pimples. This product definitely has a better effect on good skin, its also probably not ideal for very oily skin. I have combination skin and thought it was ideal and it would also be great for dry skin.

I also got the plumprageous lip plumper treatments which are insane! When I wore it my friends asked me if I had lip fillers so its obviously noticeable! It does sting after about 30 seconds for a good 5 minutes or so but it def gives you those bee stung lips and I like the natural colours too. Of course you can put a lipstick underneath it or even on top after your lips are plumped.

I love Glam-Glow and would highly-recommend these products!

Zizzleblog’s Summer Skin Essentials

IMG_20170529_120339_924Summer is almost here and nobody wants a full face of make-up in this sweltering heat but that doesn’t mean you can’t look beautiful. I think summer is the time of the year where our confidence needs to come back out from behind those winter trench coats and spring layers, this is the season to shine! Good skin is key, invest in your skin people and that doesn’t mean buy the most expensive products, it means get into a regime and invest 10 minutes a day to looking after your skin!

I have tested a lot of products and these are the ones I loved and have added to my daily routine or at least I would never travel without them!

Clarisonic Mia 2- I always bang on about this I know but I just have to say again how much it has transformed my skin. It gets rid of all of those bumps below the surface and leaves your skin smooth and glowing.

GlamGlow DreamDuo – This is my star product! It has completely transformed my skin. Its a nightly treatment, it smells super delicious, you can just smell it wafting while you fall asleep. It has two compartments when you open it, one is the dreamserum which is pearlescent and the other is a grey cream called dreamseal. It has a rich texture and I love putting on at night and waking up to really plumped, radiant skin. I am going to invest in more of GlamGlows products as their mud mask also blew me away!

Sephora’s charcoal scrub – This is super gentle and draws out impurities from the skin while restoring moisture. I love the smell of this scrub and it comes in a travel sized bottle. There are six different ingredients in the range so you can choose the one most appropriate for your skin, they all smell yummy!

Sephora’s charcoal wipes – I love these wipes and will definitely be restocking! They are textured on one side so they exfoliate and the other side is smooth so you can wipe of your make-up!

Bioderma Perfect Skin Suncare- This product really wowed me! It is great for hitting the beach as it is an all-in-one moisturiser, has a tint to smooth your complexion and also has oil control for 8 hours! In addition it is factor 50+ AND illuminates the skin so your highlight will be on fleek! Its great for oily skin but cakey on dry skin, the formula is light and really natural. I have the medium tone which blends into a vast range of skin-tones. This all-in-one aspect will save me a lot of space when I travel as for beach holidays it is my everything!! I love how it looks on me, I hate wearing makeup to the beach but also feel sometimes my skin needs a little coverage and this little baby does it all!

Bioderma Sun Mist – Again factor 50 which is great as protecting your skin is really important! I love that its a mist and you just spray it on wet skin from 20cm away. You don’t need to rub it in and you can’t even feel when its on. I usually find factor 50 products suffocating as they are so thick and sticky, the light formula is the best part! You can use it on your face too, simply spray it on your hands and rub it on.

Erborian CC Creme – This Korean skin therapy brand is a new favourite of mine. When my skin is decent I use this moisturiser daily instead of a foundation as the light coverage is enough to give an even skin tone. Of course you can apply your foundation on top of it for fuller coverage. It helps boost radiance while hydrating your skin. It is factor 25 so it gives you protection from those UV rays. It is sulphate and paraben free and contains a lot of skin food!

Decleor Soothing Eye Contour Gel – Perfect for soothing tired, puffy eyes. This gel feels really cool and also firms the skin.

Jergens Hydrating Coconut – It smells like a holiday and is super rich and creamy. Perfect for rehydrating dry skin after a day in the sun. It’s really nourishing and contains hydraluscence which illuminates your skin leaving you glowing!

Black Up Makeup

No Transfer Matte Liquid Lipcolor No. 1 AED 105I finally got my hands on some Black-Up Makeup while I was in London and had a bit of a haul! I am so excited to announce that it will be sitting shelves in the UAE at Sephora on the 1st of June! The brand is catered to darker skin tones but has product lines for everyone.

I am obsessed with the No Transfer Matte Liquid Lip Color. I have to see these are the first matte lip cremes that I have been wearing all the time! Usually I am a gloss girl and I hate the way matte lipsticks make my lips feel dry and almost masked by this suffocating layer but I have to say Black up’s is moisturising and I love it!! My favourite shade is of course a nude and its 34 which is the perfect nude for me actually. The range is elegant and comfortable. The formula contains ultra-pigments liquid that gives lips a matte, opaque finish in just one application. This long-lasting, rapid-dry formula guarantees that your lip color lasts and lasts. Its gel texture ensures a smooth application and a soft, creamy feel.

Concealer Palette No. 1_AED 135I also love the concealer palette which has four shades including one to contour and one to highlight. I have to say my love for the brand is definitely fuelled by the shades, most brands were not formulated for darker skin-tones it was something they later developed but I feel like a huge chunk of Black-Outs products suit me which is really exciting! Most brands I can only wear a fraction of the products (excluding eyes) so I was really excited to find palettes where I can use pretty much everything.
Contouring Stick No. 2_AED 155The contouring stick is amazing, it has two sides and two shades, really convenient for travel as is the concealer palette! I haven’t tried any of the powder products yet and will definitely be visiting Sephora when they launch next week!
