This new foundation is the future of make-up…If Korea’s doing it then we are definitely a few steps ahead of the rest of the world. It is like something I have never seen before, the formula is saturated in a cushion so it is a hybrid of a liquid foundation with the practicality of a compact format. I wondered about the application and how it disperses, whether you need a little of a lot but when I patted the puff onto the compact lightly, there was plenty of product transfer. I blended it into my skin and it had a lovely natural finish with a radiant glow.
I applied a little more to see if it was buildable and it certainly gives fuller coverage if you need it to. The aim of this product was to give the “I woke up like this” look and I have to say it did give a very natural radiant look. My only scepticism was that I am not sure how many applications you get from the product but I was told about 40 is average.
I love how innovative the product is, you should definitely give it a go as it may be the future of foundations! It is priced at a reasonable AED 115.
This beautiful bar and restaurant has been the talk of DIFC since it opened. Located in the Al Fattan Currency House, Dusty’s has a gorgeous interior adorned with abstract urban artwork and pops of colour. The outdoor seating in the terrace garden was also lovely and very different to the inside. With wooden decking and surrounded by water fountains, it had a very Zen like atmosphere with the DJ playing smooth grooves. I loved the vibe and we were super excited to get stuck in to the menu!
For appetizers we had the delicious Lobster tacos that were a combination of a ceviche and a mango salsa that had an amazing balance topped of with a crunch. The Burrata was everything we hoped for, nicely formed, slightly wobbly in the middle and deliciously creamy. The Garlic Prawns were nice and you can’t go wrong with the combination of Beetroot and goats cheese in a salad. We enjoyed the array of appetizers and grooved to the amazing music as we waited for the mains.
For mains we had the Seafood Linguine, Black Cod, Dusty’s Red Chicken and a side of spinach. The Black Cod was my favourite, perfectly cooked with a slightly sweet glaze and it melted in your mouth just as it should. The Linguine was also delicious, embellished with fresh sea critters, it was yummy! Dusty’s red chicken is a signature dish and I have to say I didn’t love it like I loved everything else. It was nice but we both felt it was a little bland and maybe needed a bit longer marinating however as you can imagine we were stuffed to the brim anyway. I have to tell you again the DJ was playing some tunes, a few throwback oldschool R&B numbers and then a little Madonna and then a bit of Basement Jaxx, his ladies night playlist was on point and we were dancing in our seats.
Creme Brulee Trio
So…dessert time came around and I was absolutely stuffed and said I couldn’t but they still brought us one of everything and of course we managed to try all of it! Creme Brulee is one of my favourites and I find something so satisfying about cracking that caramelised sugar layer on top, I think I enjoy that as much as I enjoy eating it so I had fun with the trio, it was great! Then the fondant…I can’t even begin to describe how the chocolate oozed out as we cut into it but yea it was a good fondant…and then we tucked into the daddy of desserts – The Candy Station. It looked like they had plucked it out of Alice In Wonderland, I didn’t want to eat it because it looked so magical…but we did. The chocolate fondue with strawberries was yummy and the little cake pops were delectable.
We couldn’t move for an hour afterwards..so we stayed there 🙂 I really enjoyed my experience at Dustys, a great meal with the perfect ambience and I am looking forward to going back soon!
I was so looking forward to doing a food review of Texas de Brazil, it’s located in the new expansion of Mall of the Emirates on the 2nd floor. I loved the concept, you take your plate to the amazing buffet of cheese, salad and veggies and help yourself to whatever sides you want. Then go back to your table where you find these double sided counters for each person:
If you are ready to try the 14 different varieties of meat, flip your counter to the green side and the gauchos will come over with skewers of meat and you choose which cut of steak you want from it and they slice it straight onto your plate. The sirloin was my favourite and the chicken was also really good! They had prawns, lamb shanks, lamb chops and many different steak cuts. When you have enough on your plate you can flip the counter to the red side and the gauchos will not bother you while you enjoy your feast. It was yummy, even the sides were amazing from the buffet! They were so fresh and delicious and there were so many different salsas and dressings to choose from.
Then it was dessert time!! The creme brulee was to die for, and the banana and caramel dessert was good too, there was nothing that disappointed me and it was just fun, easy dining. I would highly recommend a trip to Texas De Brazil.
The Emporio Armani Autumn/Holiday 2015 collection continues the brand’s journey into Innovative watch design. The designs are updated interpretations of classic pieces.
The ladies watches are minimal and sleek with men’s platforms interpreted into women’s versions. The colour palette brings an Autumn freshness. Black and gold run throughout, giving the collection a glamorous look.
The new men’s styles feature a sporty, ultra-dynamic case. The powerful design, with the crown protector and separate bezel, allows to play with different colours and materials such as rubber and aluminium.

Zizzle went down to the Iconic AW15 Launch In Tribeca Dubai and we were really impressed with the new collection! There were a few key fashion trends spotted, a collection with something for everyone.
The Mod Modernism collection was very 60’s inspired, A-line dresses were scattered about in monochrome prints juxtaposed with midi skirts and tailored jackets in yellow and blue hues.
Another Iconic fashion trend this season is the Neo Sports look made up of day and sportswear with a luxe feel to it in bonded mesh, scuba and lasercuts. The metallic silver pieces gave a galactic feel to the 90’s inspired collection. I loved the Military Tribe trend pieces, olive green really suits caramel skintones and the military inspired jumpsuit was definitely my favourite piece of the collection. The Dark Delicacy pieces were extremely glamorous in rich lace and velvet with intricate beading to embellish. It was certainly the most lavish of trends.
This was my favourite collection from Iconic, it is so versatile and you can pick anything from edgy club-wear to elegant evening gowns. The tailored jackets and dresses were perfect for business chic and my wardrobe has quite a few new additions from the AW15 collection which I can’t wait to wear!
Dune previews are always highly anticipated for me, I don’t know whether that’s just the London girl in me but I think its because they always have really nice collections that are always conceptual and completely different to the last. This season had an apparent seventies influence with rounded saddle bags in rich chestnut and berry croc. The different shapes and textures were also reminiscent of the seventies. The deep auburn, navy and brown tones were suggestive of autumn and the beautiful nude hues played with the idea of bareness in an opulent season.
The collection has something for everyone, whether your a modern girl who loves colour blocking and in your face prints or a classic girl looking for a brushed saffiano leather tote. The beautiful velvet clutches embellished with brooches and feathers may speak to the flapper girl within, its a must see collection and you are likely to find a bag perfect for you.
The shoes very much mirror the bag trends, from casual ankle boots to embellished stilettos and mesh detailed pumps. A predominantly autumn palette however this collection spoke to the all-year-round open shoe wearing Dubai girl in me. There were wedges, platform stilettos and even clogs…I don’t think I could pull of the clogs but they would definitely look great on the right girl.
Plums and burgundies are my favourite autumn hues and I love my customised Zizzleblog croc bag, its small but has pockets for EVERYTHING and it comes in a variety of prints and textures, head to your nearest Dune store to find your perfect accessory!
