The Fix Nail Treatment sounds like just what I need! I wear polish constantly so I often get discolouration and I feel like I need a product that will protect my nails from my constant suffocating.
The treatment delivers five powerful benefits in one universally flattering pink coat. Brighten up your nails with an iridescent wash of pink that enhances your nails’ natural tones. Strengthening with nourishing, it’s formulated with pro-vitamin B5 and pentavitin to resist breakage, it corrects and blurs nail imperfections for an instant, soft focus look. Protect against discoloration with innovative UV absorbers, and smooth out the nail surface for a flawless finish. It’s your easy, one-stop fix to promote strong, healthy nails while instantly brightening and enhancing their appearance. It is reasonably priced at AED 59 and will be available exclusively to Sephora in Dubai Mall from April.
A new nail brand has crept into Sephora and it delivers original colours and long wear with the legendary no compromise formula that will surpass all your expectations.
I was blown away by the Delete All 5 Finger Nail Polish Remover. It has a five finger soak where you place a nail in each pocket and just pull them out after a few seconds, my nail polish disappeared after 2 dips (about 8 seconds) and I was gob smacked!
Its great for travelling as its spill proof and in a small container making it easy to transport. I was pretty shocked to find it priced at AED 120, no matter how much I love it I can’t justify spending £20 on a nail polish remover…you know what to get me for my birthday now 🙂
I had a polish change using Formula X nail polish a week ago today and only one has a chip that was actually self inflicted. X Formula is definitely a premium brand and the quality speaks for itself, I have actually never seen such results from nail products and I am looking forward to getting more acquainted with them in April when they will be exclusively available in Sephora!
I had a great day trying out Essie’s new Silk Watercolor Collection. To mark the launch of the highly anticipated polishes, the talented nail artists at SoH Art + Beauty came together to create an exclusive range of 18 unique nail art designs. I was spoilt for choice and ended up choosing two in the end because I just couldn’t decide.
The colours are sheer and capture the delicacy of silk and chiffon, nine layerable shades offer so many possibilities and I was so excited to get home and play with mine! From the fierce ultra violet of No Shrinking Violet to the glowing rose of Love Sheen, the chic graphic teal of Pen & Inky to the seductive citrus vibe of Muse, Myself and other stunning shades, the exciting new collection added tones of gorgeousness to a well –received gathering of art and style.
Follow the instructions for a salon finish!!
I love these summery nails, they were done by dividing the nails randomly and painting each section differently and then adding a thin nail foil on the different colour borders. Simple but really effective!
I have scoured Instagram and various blogs to bring you my favourite Valentines day nails! Some are more challenging then others but I am sure you will find a look that you can recreate.
Zizzle had a fabulous day out at Market OTB! Nestled amongst the skyscrapers in downtown Dubai, this little patch of serenity will have you feeling like you are in London or New York for the day. This park is frequented by local residents and the event makes for a nice family day out.
I enjoyed browsing the chic little boutiques such as West LA and Boom and Mellow and I loved that some online stores such as thehipster.com had physical pop up stores for 10 days of the event so you have the chance to actually see before you buy. The Market also has local eateries and coffee shops so you can grab a picnic table and take a break from the shopping. We relaxed by heading to the SOHDubai nail salon where their nailart is off the chain!! The talented artists transform your nails into a mini-canvas, I will be back to visit them in their Jumeirah salon for sure!
So far it all sounds very Dubai, chic boutiques, nails, coffee shops…however it is all designed with a green concept in mind, the shops are refurbished shipping containers and stalls made of recycled crates, the stage was jaw-dropping, from a distance it has a 70’s dancefloor vibe with the multicoloured flashing lights, however as you get up close you realise it is made from recycled water bottles! You can enjoy various performances and movie nights from the bean bags scattered around the stage.
I loved that they had a grafitti artist spraying one of the shops and a shiny cadillac which was also due to be sprayed entirely! The event just had a nice energy about it, something fresh and interesting while managing to please the Dubai crowd without being your typical “Dubai” event. It’s a lovely day out with friends and family, they even had a little fair for children with rides and games! Its on until the 24th January so free some space in your diaries to check it out!
I follow a blog called The Nail Luxxe and she posted a similar look yesterday (Click Here) so I was feeling inspired and decided to just change the base colour to this minty green. I love this colour, its nice and cool in this hot Dubai summer and I love how she made her silver tips a really thin line rather then a full french tip. There’s so many inspiring nail looks online, why not find some inspiration and play around with colour?!
I’m loving the ombré nail trend that’s about at the moment. I went for a Mani/pedi and got an ombré inspired look. The nail varnishes are Essie and just go up by one shade on each nail rather then going up a colour gradient on one nail. I love these reds, corals and oranges on tanned skin tones and I feel ready for summer 🙂
From interior design to fast cars, matt paint has taken the world of design by storm. Matt nail varnishes in greys, mushrooms and nudes were all the rage last season but I love the concept of wearing both Matt and gloss in the same shade. So simple but super effective, here are some great looks you can try at home 🙂
