The Emporio Armani Autumn/Holiday 2015 collection continues the brand’s journey into Innovative watch design. The designs are updated interpretations of classic pieces.
The ladies watches are minimal and sleek with men’s platforms interpreted into women’s versions. The colour palette brings an Autumn freshness. Black and gold run throughout, giving the collection a glamorous look.
The new men’s styles feature a sporty, ultra-dynamic case. The powerful design, with the crown protector and separate bezel, allows to play with different colours and materials such as rubber and aluminium.

I am forever looking for hair products to tame my mane, I have crazy in-between wavy and curly hair with crazy amounts of volume and in the summer plenty of frizz…not a good combination. When I lived in Peru locals often called me “Cabello de leon” which means Lion hair so you can only imagine my loco hair. I tried the amazing Mythic Oil Serum from L’oreal and its really good, I tried it on wet hair and then tied it up to let it dry into curls hoping it would eliminate the frizz when it dried, and its pretty smooth! I added a little more when it was dry through the ends to give it some more texture and I’m really happy with the results.
Yesterday I used it after blow-drying my hair and it gave it a really nice shiny finish and gave definition to my waves. It has a 24-hour ability to smooth and protect hair from the effects of extreme heat, humidity and frizziness, L’Oréal Professionnel’s Mythic Oil Serum is great for the Middle East’s crazy heat. You can buy it in salons and the couture edition is priced at 130AED or 180AED for the regular edition.
The Jewel Edition bottle of Mythic Oil has a gorgeous, sparkling gift that captures the very essence of its sumptuous experience. I love the richness of the product and you only need a very small amount to get the desired effect! Speaking of effects I thought I would share this seasons looks from L’oreal. The 70’s brit pop shag layers cut is dominating runways as seen on British model Eddie Campbell. The beauty is in its versatility giving you the option to wear it fluffy, messy or tousled.
Red is the key colour trend to pair with the cut, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Vanessa Hudgens have all been sporting it. I love red highlights but I hate how quickly the colour fades so I am really excited to try L’Oreals Carmine red highlights which contains a patented formula to provide an intense red that doesn’t fade!
Call It Spring is one of my favourite shoe shops, affordable, trendy and most importantly comfortable!! Their new collection was my favourite one yet and it was unveiled in the most amazing setting. We were aboard a beautiful yacht in Dubai Marina and as we sailed into the sunset we got to walk around and look at the wonderful displays. The collaborative collection with Mike Perry was so colourful and perfect for Spring. Some of my favourite pieces from the SS15 collection included the knee length Gladiator sandals and of course the amazing rucksack with fringing and a multicoloured eagle embellishment (Pictured above)-can’t wait to get my hands on that bag! It reminds me of something Peruvian given a rockstar makeover and Its such a wearable, versatile piece.
Lets talk about the party, I arrived on the yacht to be greeted by paparazzi happy snapping away and soon the yacht was full with Dubai’s glitterati, the DJ was on deck playing smooth R&B grooves and as the sun went down everybody got up on the dance floor and there was some amazing dance-offs! Some professional dancers also performed for us and I also got my groove on for a bit. It was a really nice opportunity to get to know the other bloggers a bit better, most of the time you come to an event, get your info and pics, see whoever is there while you are, and leave but this one was nice because you got to mingle, all the bloggers and brand managers were there and being on a yacht…nobody could leave haha. I don’t think anybody wanted to, my only criticism was that it ended too soon, I think we all had a wonderful time and wanted to party longer. For me it was one of the best collection launches I have attended in my four years of blogging, I can’t wait for the next one!
I had a fabulous night at the Ted Baker SS15 launch, the beautiful poolside garden at the Hilton Conrad Dubai was perfect for the springy shades and floral prints that adorned the runway. The collection didn’t disappoint, it was comprised of stylish versatile and very wearable pieces. I love the brand and the styling really highlighted how ready-to-wear it was, my attention was actually drawn more to the menswear. Of course the dishy models were pretty distracting but the clothes were on point, I loved the cuts and colour combinations and the patent grey shoes really caught my eye. The blazers had beautiful details and prints and I loved the different shades of blue. The fashion conscious crowd embellished the sophisticated setting, another triumph for brag events!
Nine West’s gorgeous SS15 launch was a breath of fresh air and really got us in the mood for Spring. The terrace was transformed into a summery garden adorned with fabulous women’s shoes. Whatever the occasion, we love that Nine West is sure to have something suitable, be it wedding shoes, office shoes, party wedges or a cute pair of summer sandals. The dancers injected more fun into the event and the key trend pieces certainly did the same for Nine West’s SS15 collection.
The La Feme theme had great pieces for a night out on the town. Stiletto spikes embellished with crystals or the statement 3D florals were mesmerizing. The Apprentice style had great shoes for the office or to complete a classic look, they were definitely our favourite and we could not get enough of our customised pair pictured below initialled Z.B. The World Tour pieces definitely spoke to the traveller within, the braided details and buckled booties certainly had an artisanal touch. The Exhibitionist shoes were exactly that, loud and screaming for all eyes on them, they were like leather and canvas Toms shoes, the prints and playful slip-ons will be sure have you standing out from the crowd. We enjoyed trying on the array of hats, if you still haven’t found your head-gear for the races, head to Nine West!
We ended February on a complete high at the Timberland SS15 Fashion show in the desert. It was rumoured to be something like a desert safari with the slogan Lets Get Lost and dress-code being “rugged traveller”. We were all taken there in coaches and as we approached, our coach buzzed with talk of people wondering where this sandy road led to? We soon reached a very rustic resort, however it wasn’t quite as rustic as a camp which was great. The old style buildings added a touch of Arabian Heritage and made it more luxurious while keeping it authentic. There were a lot more people then we imagined and the Timberland sign rested in the sand-dunes while bloggers and other attendees posed with it. It was very clearly branded and as soon as you arrived you knew what the event was about. The wine reception and stage set-up, forecast a good time and that is exactly what it was!
The Fashion show was the main event, we loved how the catwalk was nestled in the wilderness of the desert and the audience sat on the walls either side of it. It began shortly after we were seated and unfortunately the styling did not cater to the crowd. We know Timberland is an adventure brand, popular amongst travellers but they could have definitely done a better job to make there clothes more appealing, it was just a bit of a bore, nothing noteworthy. There were some nice pieces in their collection and hopefully at their next show they will find a way to showcase them in a more stylish way.
All-in-all it was an amazing evening! The setting somehow made everyone more affable, there was this sense of all being on an adventure together and we witnessed more socialising then usual which was really interesting, cliques dispersed through the evening and the dance-floor was packed. We can’t wait to get lost again!
It certainly looked like the end of awards season as the red carpet was a little bit of a bore. Seemed like everyone had used up their best outfits for the Grammys and Oscars but there were a few that saved the best till last! Rita Ora looked fabulous, she went for a very classic look with an embellished gold playsuit and blonde pixie crop. Her makeup was demure with smoky eyes and we thought she got it spot on! Paloma Faith looked great in a strapless black and red gown and Taylor Swift went for the same colour scheme and looked stunning. Kim Kardashian put together a nice statement outfit but we thought a long fishtail skirt would have made it more red carpet savvy, anyways she made the cut. Our biggest surprise was Ellie Goulding, last year she looked like she had her dress made on My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding but this year she was show-stopping in a white floor-length gown!
This bag is genius!! We fell in love with it just like when we first saw the Willow Tote, their multi-functionality makes them perfect. They range from $1,300-$8,500 depending on size and material. Our favourite is the Sky Blue & Midnight Blue Silky Snake Leather, its very wearable and the Sky Blue is perfect for Spring 🙂 We can’t believe that both those pictures are actually one bag!

You don’t have to overthink fashion, I think effortless fashion always looks the best. Try to buy key pieces for your wardrobe, things that are simple but have an elegant cut or detail that make them stand out. Often just the way something fits you can make it look like a designer piece. Here are some looks for inspiration:
